Privacy Policy
The short version: Stuffed has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. What you put in stays on your iPhone, and the AI that reads and finds it is Apple's, running on the phone. Only three kinds of thing ever leave the phone: a web search you tap, the spot where you captured something, sent to Apple to name the place (only if you allow location), and a log you choose to send.
No account
Stuffed never asks who you are. There is no sign-up and no user database, so there is nothing of yours for anyone to sell or leak.
What you put in, and where it lives
Photos, scans, notes, dictated words, tags, collections and receipt details are stored inside the app on your iPhone. The developer runs no server and holds no copy. Deleting the app deletes all of it, and there is no copy anywhere to restore from apart from your own iPhone backup.
Your iPhone backup
If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or a computer, Apple includes the app's data in that backup, under Apple's terms. The developer can't see it.
The AI runs on your phone
Reading the text in a photo, describing it, tagging it and answering your questions all use Apple's on-device models (Apple Intelligence). Dictation is turned into text on the phone too. None of it goes to the developer or to any cloud AI service.
iPhone Search
Items are added to your iPhone's own search index so you can find them from Search on the Home Screen. That index stays on the phone.
Camera, photos and microphone
The camera, photo library and microphone are used only when you use them to put something in or to ask a question. When you add from your library, the app gets only the photos you pick.
Location
If you allow location, the app notes where each item was captured so you can find things by place. For a photo from your library, it uses the location saved in that photo, if there is one. To turn that spot into a place name such as "Kiama Downs, NSW", the app asks Apple's location service, the same one the Photos app uses, so Apple receives the coordinates for that lookup under its privacy terms. Showing an item's map loads Apple Maps for that area. Location is optional, and the app works without it.
Searching the web from a photo
In the photo viewer you can draw around something and search for it. Nothing leaves the phone until you tap Search or Buy. Then only the words of the search go to the site you choose (your browser's search engine, Amazon, eBay or Facebook Marketplace), under that site's own privacy terms. Sharing a photo or note uses Apple's share sheet and goes only where you send it.
Logs you choose to send
If something goes wrong, you can send the developer a log. Nothing is sent automatically, and the app asks before anything leaves. The log can include what you searched for, item and collection names, tags and place names, so the developer can see what went wrong. It travels through Apple's iCloud service with your device model, iOS version and app version, can be read only by the developer, and is used only to fix problems. Sending a log needs you to be signed in to iCloud.
Beta testing through TestFlight
If you use Stuffed through Apple's TestFlight, Apple may give the developer crash reports and any feedback you send, under Apple's privacy terms.
Children
Stuffed is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, for example because a new feature needs a new kind of network request, the change will be described here with a new effective date.
